Occupational Therapy Services
Specialized services for children with sensory-motor challenges
The Artz Center for Developmental Health & Audiology offers occupational therapy services onsite. These services can be utilized on their own, or as part of a comprehensive program including other services.
Occupation therapists focus on adaptive behavior, play, sensory processing and integration, motor development, and self-help skills. They help children achieve their full potential in the following areas:
- Gross and fine motor development
- Handwriting
- Self care
- Behavioral organization
- Sensory processing
- Attention to task
- Play skills
- Visual-motor and perceptual skills
- Sensory feeding
- Therapeutic listening
Our occupational therapists thoroughly assess each child and create treatment plans in conjunction with the family and their multidisciplinary team as appropriate. Treatment plans are tailored to meet the needs of both the child and the family based on principles of sensory processing and neurodevelopment.
